Jeong Ha (Steph) Choi

Jeong Ha (Steph) Choi is a third year graduate student under the mentorship of Dr. Miyamoto at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Pennsylvania State University. Her interest widely involves emotion, cognition, and health. Her current research involves the role of culture on cognition and emotion before and after a stressful event (e.g., difficult task). Her methods include but are not limited to self-report, behavioral and text coding, as well as physiological measurement (e.g., stress hormones). She also uses public datasets (e.g., MIDUS, MIDJA) to examine her questions of interest.
